Why is core fitness so important?
In this blog we will be discussing 3 awesome topics on one of the most neglected areas of fitness, especially when you are at beginner level. That is:
- how to achieve a strong healthy core
- how to maintain a strong healthy core and
- how to incorporate training the core into your daily routines WITHOUT the need for a gym membership or equipment.
That's right! Create a rock solid core you can depend on WITHOUT the endless gym sessions and exercise routines.
So, where do I start?
The best and easiest way to build yourself a strong, powerful and reliable core is to train it INTELLIGENTLY and regularly. By regularly I don't mean every day, more like 3 times a per week, 15 minutes per session.. that's it!
You see, the fitness industry has a tendency to put out MASS information from all kinds of sources related to all kinds of different topics, one of the main ones being core fitness. And this can sometimes be misleading.
This has caused people from all corners of the industry to have their say on the subject (some credible and some best ignored). This has caused a bit of confusion, especially to those relatively new to exercise.
What's the solution Coach?! Why does it have to be so difficult?!
Relax, it really doesn't! Let me explain how exactly.
The main reason people lack a decent level of core fitness and strength is largely due to the fact that their training is inconsistent.
We all know one or two people who are guilty of starting exercise, doing an awesome job for a period of time, then BOOM! it all stops and something else in life takes over.
This can cause a lot of the work over the previous however many weeks to be undone.
Consistency is key when looking after our bodies and this is why I recommend a 3x per week core fitness session for 15 minutes.
This ensures we are regularly working the area as well as having time to rest in between.
Awesome, how do I fit this in with my daily routine?
Simple! In other blogs I have demonstrated a number of physical exercises we can do to strengthen the core, now I am going to show you 3 GREAT breathing exercises that I want you to add to your daily routines.
These will help you to get into good habits when you are developing your exercise technique, especially when getting into core training.
